Kanye West

Who is Kanye West?

Kanye Omari West (pronounced /ˈkɑːnjeɪ/; born June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. However, subsequent productions saw him broadening his musical palette and expressing influences encompassing '70s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synth-pop, and classical music.
West released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004, his second album Late Registration in 2005, his third album Graduation in 2007, and his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak in 2008. His four albums have received numerous awards, including a cumulative twelve Grammys, and critical acclaim. All have been very commercially successful, with 808s & Heartbreak becoming his third consecutive #1 album in the U.S. upon release.[citation needed] West also runs his own record label GOOD Music, home to artists such John Legend, Common and Kid Cudi. West's mascot and trademark is "Dropout Bear," a teddy bear which has appeared on the covers of three of his four albums as well as various single covers and music videos. About.com ranked Kanye West #8 on their "Top 50 Hip-Hop Producers" list. On May 16, 2008, Kanye West was crowned by MTV as the year's #1 "Hottest MC in the Game."

Kanye West to Star in DJ Hero 2

Activision continues to churn out new entries in its "Hero" line of rhythm games, and has revealed details for two new titles in the genre: DJ Hero 2 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Both games are due to hit store shelves later this year and will introduce new instruments, game modes, and, of course, tracks to play.

DJ Hero 2 is the sequel to one of last year's surprise successes, and will introduce microphone support into the series, letting players sing or rap along to lyrics on the screen. The game will also feature a new career mode and new multiplayer modes, including the use of two turntables at once. The soundtrack will feature more than 80 artists, including Dr. Dre, The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.

Activision will be releasing three different versions of the game, so it can be purchased either as a standalone disc, bundled with a turntable peripheral, or as a "Party Bundle," which comes packed with two turntables, a microphone, and a copy of the game. Owners of the first game will also get the chance to download a free track from DJ Hero 2—a mash up of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and Deadmau5's "Ghosts 'n' Stuff"—between June 8 and 14.

Fifteen Lyrics

Fifteen - Taylor Swift

You take a deep breath
And you walk through the doors
It's the mornin of your very first day
You say hi to your friends you ain't seen in a while
And try to stay out of everybody's way

It's your freshman year
And you're gonna be here for the next 4 years
In this town
Hopin' one of those Senior boys
Will wink at you and say 'I haven't seen you around before'

Cuz when you're fifteen, somebody tells you they love you
You're gonna believe them
And when you're fifteen
Feelin' like there's nothin to figure out

Count to ten
Take it in
This is life before you know who you're gonna be
Fifteen

You sit in class next to red-head Abigail
And soon enough you're best friends
Laughi'n at the other girls
Who they think they're so cool
We'll be out of here as soon as we can

And then you're on your very first date
And he's got a car
And you're feelin like flyin

And you're momma's waitin up
And you're thinkin he's the one
And you're dancin around the room when the night ends
When the night ends

Cuz when you're fifteen, somebody tells you they love you
You're gonna believe them
And when you're fifteen
And your first kiss makes your head spin around

But in your life you'll do things
Greater than datin the boy on the football team
But I didn't know it at fifteen

When all you wanted
Was to be wanted
Wish you could go back
And tell yourself what you know now

Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday
But I realized some bigger dreams in life
And Abigail gave everything she had
To a boy who changed his mind
And we both cried

Cuz when you're fifteen, somebody tells you they love you
You're gonna believe them
And when you're fifteen
Don't forget to look before you fall

I've found time can heal most anything
And you just might who you're supposed to be
I didn't know who I was supposed to be
at fifteen

La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la...

You're very first day
Take a deep breath girl
And take a deep breath as you walk through the door
